Location: WCD Chavdi Plant, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing shift-based production operations to meet daily production, quality, safety, and cost targets in line with company standards, while promoting continuous improvement, lean practices, and asset care on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances, and develop appropriate SOPs and Operational Control Procedures (OCPs) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor and drive the effective implementation of occupational health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and organizational safety objectives.
- Manage shift production activities and ensure achievement of daily targets
- Handle and deploy shift manpower effectively
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, process discipline, and SOPs
- Promote safety culture, 5S,



and lean manufacturing practices
- Implement and maintain IMS standards (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018)
- Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, and energy efficiency initiatives
- Ensure asset care through Autonomous Maintenance
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Stores teams

Skills & Competencies

- Knowledge of production processes and shop-floor operations
- Working knowledge of SAP PP module (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 8D, and Six Sigma (added advantage)
- Good communication, problem-solving, and team-working skills
- Solid execution focus and result orientation

Language Proficiency

- Tamil, Malayalam and English (mandatory)
