Position: Sourcing Analyst

Department: Supply & Procurement
Location: Colvale Industrial Estate, Goa, India

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Sourcing Analyst to support our global Supply & Procurement function. The role is responsible for market intelligence, procurement analytics, supplier evaluation, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and reporting to support data-driven business decisions across global operations.

The Sourcing Analyst will support global sourcing initiatives and procurement projects involving an annual sourcing budget of up to 5 million. This is an individual contributor role with no direct or indirect reports. The position requires approximately 10 - 15% travel and offers exposure to global procurement operations while collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct market research and commodity analysis.
- Develop supplier benchmarking and cost analysis reports.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement projects.
- Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), ROI, and business case analyses.
- Evaluate suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Assist in RFQs, supplier negotiations, and procurement documentation.
- Develop and maintain supplier and pricing databases.
- Prepare monthly procurement dashboards and KPI reports.
- Analyze procurement spend, cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
- Drive sourcing optimization, procurement reporting, supplier evaluation, market intelligence, and the maintenance of procurement databases across all plants.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Specific KPIs

- Prepare and analyze market and commodity reports, including pricing trends, inflation, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop business cases focusing on competitive pricing and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Drive sourcing productivity initiatives (e.g., Procurement Improvement Program - PIP).
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and appraisals.

General KPIs

- Maintain and contribute to the organization's safety performance score.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong command of English; knowledge of French and/or Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing processes.
- Knowledge of engineering principles relevant to procurement and sourcing.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Ability to prepare analytical reports on market trends, commodities, pricing, benchmarking, and cost-saving opportunities to support business decisions.
- Sound understanding of financial concepts, including CAPEX, OPEX, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Return on Investment (ROI), and Payback Period (PBP/PBT).
- Ability to develop business cases and perform cost-benefit analyses.
- Knowledge of the glass fibre industry, including raw materials, assets, goods, and services, will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, and reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or QlikView.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (QHSE)

- Promote and ensure compliance with the company's QHSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards, assessing risks, and following safe work practices.
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools, and equipment.
- Report and support the investigation of incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and non-conformities while driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in risk assessments and recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, company policies, and permit-to-work systems.
- Support employee safety onboarding and ensure all personnel receive the required safety training and awareness.
- Collaborate with QHSE teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
- Integrate safety and ergonomic principles into operational and project activities.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Sourcing & Procurement

- Analyze sourcing requirements and identify cost-effective procurement solutions to meet business needs.
- Monitor procurement demand across various categories and assess supply requirements to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and supply market risk assessments to identify new sourcing opportunities and industry trends.
- Evaluate suppliers through cost-benefit analyses and recommend the most suitable sourcing solutions.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including category management, sourcing strategy development, supplier negotiations, and price benchmarking.
- Assist in developing alternative sourcing solutions for raw materials, packaging, spare parts, automation equipment, and other procurement categories.
- Manage the RFQ/RFP process, including bid evaluation, supplier communication, documentation, and purchase order support.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, commercial requirements, and legal guidelines.
- Collaborate with global and plant procurement teams to drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and continuous improvement.
- Support and manage procurement and supply chain projects as assigned.

Data Management, Analysis & Reporting





The Sourcing Analyst supports the Supply & Procurement team by managing, analyzing, and reporting procurement data to enable informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain supplier, pricing, and category management databases across all plants, along with procurement processes and up-to-date policy documents.
- Assist internal stakeholders in collecting data, developing cost models (including Zero-Based Budgeting - ZBB), preparing budgets, and documenting product and service performance.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of procurement documentation, including RFPs, procurement policies, processes, benchmark reports, supplier profiles, supplier evaluations, pricing records, and cost analyses.
- Collaborate with the IT department to enhance KPI-based reporting capabilities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports highlighting commodity and category trends, procurement KPIs, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure accurate reporting and comparative analysis of procurement KPIs against targets, including spend, savings, costs, payment terms, quality, and supplier performance.
