MAIN JOB PURPOSE: This is a R&D; Packaging Technician position for the category. The candidate will be instrumental in packaging testing of various packaging formats including flexibles, cartons, rigids etc. as well as managing packaging specifications & Bill of Materials (BoM) in PLM. Also, candidate will support for testing materials and report making, co-ordination & follow up for factory trials & material connectivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Candidate is expected to work on SAP & relevant integrated systems such as PLM/Interspec for specification management. • S(he) is expected to learn specification hierarchy followed in Unilever & comply to the guidelines. • S(he) should be able to understand different packaging format specifications used & process the key properties according to test methods in the specification. • S(he)
should co-ordinate with suppliers/factories for trial material activities in order to raise the Purchase Requisitions & manage the invoicing of the same. • Candidate is expected to work in the laboratory to carry experiments and find out technical insights which then needs to be translated into detailed technical reports.
