Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer Mechanical for an industrial project based in Vadodara. The candidate must have robust experience in steel structure, fabrication, welding inspection, quality control documentation, and NDT activities. NDT Level II certification is mandatory for this role.

The candidate should be capable of ensuring that all fabrication, welding, inspection, and erection activities are carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for QA/QC activities related to steel structure, fabrication, welding, and erection works at site.
- Inspect fabrication activities including material verification, fit-up, welding, alignment, dimensional checks, and final inspection.
- Review work execution as per approved drawings, WPS, ITP, project specifications, and applicable standards.
- Coordinate and witness NDT activities such as RT, UT, MPT, DPT, and visual inspection as per project requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality procedures, inspection checklists, and quality control plans.
- Verify material test certificates, calibration certificates, welding consumables, and related quality documents.
- Monitor welding quality, welder performance,



WPS/PQR compliance, and welding parameters.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, checklists, test reports, and client submission records.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, contractor, and site execution team for inspection clearance and quality-related requirements.
- Identify quality issues at site and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of steel structure and fabrication quality control.
- Experience in welding inspection and fabrication inspection.
- NDT Level II certification is mandatory.
- Good understanding of RT, UT, MPT, DPT, and visual inspection.
- Good understanding of drawings, WPS, ITP, inspection formats, and quality documentation.
- Knowledge of industrial project quality standards and site execution practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Candidate Profile

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–6 years of relevant QA/QC experience in industrial projects.
- Must have experience in steel fabrication / structural fabrication / welding quality.
- Must have NDT Level II certification.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
- Candidate should be willing to work at Vadodara project location.
