- 5+ years of experience in web development with 3+ years specifically in Liferay (DXP/CE).
- Deep understanding of Liferay platform capabilities, including Site and Page Management, Assets, Workflows, and Staging.
- Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
- Proficiency with Liferay frameworks: Service Builder, Portlet APIs, and Liferay-specific tag libraries.
- Frontend development skills with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React (optional), Freemarker, and JSP.
- Strong understanding of Liferay Permissions, Roles, and User Management.
- Experience in deploying and managing Liferay instances (Tomcat, Apache, or other containers).
- Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of databases (MySQL,



Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Liferay's database schema.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Nice to Have:
- Liferay Certification(s)
- Experience with Liferay Cloud or Liferay PaaS environments
- Exposure to headless CMS or GraphQL-based implementations
- Knowledge of SSO, LDAP integration, or SAML for authentication
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO optimization within Liferay
