Job Purpose:

The Legal Officer will be responsible for reviewing, vetting, drafting, and managing contracts and legal documents related to the company's home finance operations. The role ensures legal compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contract Vetting Drafting: Review, vet, and approve contracts and agreements, including loan documents, vendor/service agreements, NDAs, and MOUs; identify legal risks and provide practical mitigation strategies; draft standard and customized agreements. Identify potential legal exposures in contracts and recommend changes to minimize litigation and financial risks.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, housing finance regulations, and Reserve Bank of India / National Housing Bank guidelines; stay updated on regulatory changes impacting housing finance.
- Digital Transformation Automation: Lead initiatives in workflow automation, LMS and LOS optimization to improve TAT, efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
- Documentation Support to Collection and Recovery Team:



Draft and vet documents to ensure effective recovery in delinquent cases, including the issuance of show cause notices in wilful defaulter and fraud cases.
- Documentation Management: Maintain a repository of standardized templates and ensure version control.
- Coordination: Liaise with external counsel as needed; collaborate with compliance and audit teams for legal reviews and assessments.

Skills Required:

- Strong knowledge of contract law and property law
- Familiarity with housing finance regulations and compliance frameworks
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
- Robust communication and stakeholder management

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

- Education: LLB / LLM from a recognized university
- Experience: 2-6 years in legal roles, preferably in:
- Housing finance companies (HFCs)
- NBFCs / Banks
- Law firms handling financial services
