Position Details

- Position Title: Assistant /Deputy General Manager Finance & Accounts
- Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Location: Vadodara (with frequent interaction with plant locations and overseas subsidiaries)
- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Experience: 1215 years or More, preferably in specialty chemicals / pharmaceuticals / manufacturing / listed entities

Role Purpose

To act as a strategic finance partner to the CFO and business leadership by ensuring robust financial reporting, strong internal controls, tax efficiency, statutory & regulatory compliance, and value-added financial insights to support growth, profitability and governance across domestic and international operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Lead finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual) in compliance with Ind AS and applicable US GAAP for overseas subsidiaries.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting for NSE/BSE listed entity requirements, including quarterly results, investor disclosures and audit committee materials.
- Oversee accounting for SEZ units, exports, foreign currency transactions, derivatives and inter-company transactions.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial closing timelines and reporting accuracy.

2. Statutory Audit, Tax Audit & Regulatory Compliance

- Act as primary coordinator for Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Cost Auditors and Secretarial Auditors.
- Handle direct tax compliances including tax audits, income tax returns, transfer pricing documentation, assessments and appeals.
- Oversee cost records and cost audit,



especially relevant for multi-product specialty chemical operations.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, RBI, ROC, DGFT, SEZ regulations, Insurance and other applicable laws.

3. International Operations & Subsidiary Oversight

- Manage financial reporting, taxation and regulatory compliance for foreign subsidiaries (USA & Europe).
- Support inter-company pricing, transfer pricing policies and cross-border transaction documentation.
- Ensure alignment of subsidiary financials with group accounting policies and reporting calendars.

4. Internal Controls, ICFR & Governance

- Design, implement and monitor Internal Financial Controls (ICFR) suitable for a listed, growing organisation.
- Own documentation and maintenance of RCMs, SOPs, Delegation of Authority (DOA) and Responsibility Matrix.
- Support risk management framework including identification of financial, operational and compliance risks.

5. Financial Controlling & Business Support

- Lead preparation and review of MIS, variance analysis, cost analysis and margin tracking by product, chemistry and customer segment.
- Partner with operations, R&D; and commercial teams on cost optimization, pricing support, capex evaluation and profitability improvement.
- Support budgeting,



forecasting and long-range financial planning aligned with expansion projects and capacity additions.

6. Systems, Automation & Digitization

- Drive effective utilization of SAP B1 / SAP HANA for accounting, reporting and controls.
- Leverage technology and advanced Excel / Power BI / automation tools to enhance reporting quality, speed and analytics.

7. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Lead, mentor and develop finance team members across corporate and plant locations.
- Build strong working relationships with auditors, bankers, consultants, regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Uphold highest standards of ethics, integrity and compliance culture.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical & Functional Skills

- Strong expertise in Ind AS, consolidated financial reporting and listed company compliances
- Sound knowledge of direct taxation, transfer pricing and international taxation basics
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Understanding of manufacturing / chemical industry cost structures
