Job Description / Responsibilities

- Manage hatchery operations, including egg procurement, setting plans, chick hatching, and timely chick dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), biosecurity, hygiene, safety, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, and effective utilization of utilities such as electricity and water.
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and proper waste disposal across the hatchery, staff quarters, and surrounding premises.
- Coordinate procurement of consumables, equipment, disinfectants, and verify material receipts and inventory records.
- Lead, train, and develop hatchery staff while promoting company values, ethics, and performance accountability.
- Conduct regular review meetings, set departmental targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit operational reports to management,



and promptly report any critical issues or abnormalities.
- Maintain effective coordination with internal departments, government authorities, suppliers, and transport teams to ensure smooth hatchery operations.

Desired profile of the candidate

- 5+ years of hatchery or poultry experience.
- Sound knowledge of hatchery operations, incubation, chick quality, biosecurity, and SOP compliance.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage manpower, supervise teams, and ensure smooth unit operations.

Education qualification

UG: B.Sc. (Poultry Science, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Life Sciences) or Any Graduate with relevant hatchery experience.
