Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Planning & Controls skilled to oversee project planning, scheduling, risk management, cost control, and performance reporting for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Primavera P6, project controls, risk assessment, and cost management within the power utility or EPC industry.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Establish project baselines and track progress against approved schedules.
- Monitor project milestones and identify schedule deviations.
- Perform Critical Path Analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
Risk Management
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain risk registers and conduct periodic risk reviews.
- Support project leadership with risk-based decision-making insights.
- Implement risk management practices aligned with utility standards.
Cost Estimation & Control
- Prepare project budgets and cost estimates (CAPEX & OPEX).
- Monitor project costs and conduct variance analysis.
- Support procurement activities through cost benchmarking and bid evaluation.
- Recommend cost optimization measures and ensure budget compliance.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop project dashboards and KPI reports.
- Prepare monthly project progress and performance reports.
- Conduct Earned Value Analysis (EVA) for schedule and cost performance tracking.
- Present project insights to leadership and stakeholders.
