Job Opening: Electrical Technician – Solar Projects

About the RoleSolargica Power Private Limited is looking for a responsible, disciplined, and technically competent Electrical Technician to handle the execution, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power projects.
This is not only an installation role. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing electrical work at project sites, coordinating with the project team, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring that assigned work is completed correctly and on schedule.
The role involves regular site visits and travel within Pune and nearby project locations.
- Key ResponsibilitiesExecute electrical installation work for residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
- Handle AC and DC cabling, cable routing, termination, crimping, dressing, and labelling.
- Install and connect solar inverters, ACDBs, DCDBs, generation meters, net meters, and protection devices.
- Carry out earthing, lightning arrestor connections, and electrical safety checks.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, and project specifications.
- Conduct insulation resistance, polarity, voltage, continuity, and earthing resistance tests.
- Assist in solar system testing, inverter configuration, commissioning, and handover.
- Diagnose electrical faults in solar plants, inverters, cables, connectors, meters, and protection systems.
- Attend solar service, repair, breakdown, and preventive maintenance calls.
- Inspect existing electrical systems and report site readiness or required corrections.
- Maintain proper records of materials, tools, testing results, site photographs, and completed work.
- Coordinate with customers, electricians, installation teams, vendors, and project supervisors.
- Provide regular work updates and site completion reports to the Project Head.
- Take responsibility for the secure handling of company tools, testing instruments, and project materials.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Complete assigned work within the committed project schedule.
- Maintain professional behaviour and clear communication at customer sites.
- Required QualificationsITI Electrician, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Valid Electrical Wireman Licence or Supervisor Licence will be preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or solar project execution.
- Experience in rooftop solar installations will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Understanding of AC and DC electrical protection systems.
- Ability to use multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and earth resistance testers.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and identify electrical faults.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence are preferred.
