Job Summary:

Responsible for setting up and operating lathe machines to machine metal components with high accuracy while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. (Digital Government of India)

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate conventional and/or CNC lathe machines.
- Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling, grooving, and taper turning operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Set up workpieces, cutting tools, chucks, and fixtures.
- Select appropriate cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling.
- Measure finished components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision instruments.




- Inspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and quality guidelines.
