The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Individuals & Societies (Geography) Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging, inquiry-driven, and concept-based learning environment that inspires students to explore the relationships between people, places, people, and the setting through the study of Geography . Rooted in the IB philosophy, the teacher designs meaningful learning experiences that develop geographical knowledge, critical thinking, environmental awareness, and global citizenship while fostering international-mindedness. The teacher encourages students to investigate contemporary global issues through multiple perspectives, make real-world connections, and develop the Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills needed to become reflective, responsible, and lifelong learners.

The role also involves:





- Delivering high-quality MYP Geography lessons that promote inquiry, conceptual understanding, and real-world application.
- Designing authentic, criterion-based assessments aligned with the IB MYP assessment framework.
- Creating opportunities for fieldwork, geographical investigations, research, and the effective use of maps, GIS, and other geographical tools where appropriate.
- Contributing to curriculum planning, interdisciplinary learning experiences, and departmental initiatives.
- Building positive partnerships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student achievement and well-being.
