About the RoleCafé Cocoon by The Rajbari Bawali is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of Continental and Pizza cuisine while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency. - Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation and cooking of Continental dishes, pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, and other café specialties.
- Prepare ingredients, mise en place, sauces, pizza dough, and toppings as per standardized recipes.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for every dish served.
- Operate kitchen equipment and pizza ovens safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations in accordance with FSSAI food safety and hygiene standards.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices for proper food storage and stock rotation.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Minimize food wastage and report stock shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.




- Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours by working efficiently with the kitchen and service teams.
- Follow all kitchen SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist in menu trials and the development of new dishes when required.
- QualificationsDiploma or Certificate in Hotel Management, Food Production, or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Candidates with relevant practical kitchen experience may also apply.
- Experience1–2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant in a café, restaurant, or hotel.
- Freshers with culinary training and a strong passion for cooking are encouraged to apply.
- Skills RequiredBasic knowledge of Continental cuisine and pizza preparation.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Knowledge of knife skills, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
