Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal
candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL development, with a strong
background in database performance tuning and optimization. The SQL Developer will be responsible
for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL queries and procedures to support critical
business applications. Additionally, the candidate should have extensive experience in database
architecture and be capable of providing technical leadership in optimizing SQL code for maximum
performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support business
applications.
Perform database performance tuning and optimization, including query optimization, index
tuning, and database configuration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design database solutions
that meet business needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Document database design, schema, and procedures.
Develop and maintain database security policies and procedures.
Write Unit Tests for database objects like stored procedures.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SQL development and database
technologies.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in SQL development and database
management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer.
Expert-level proficiency in SQL programming and database concepts.
Extensive experience in performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Strong knowledge on DML, DDL queries.
Strong knowledge of stored procedures, views, functions, UDT, JSON functions, CTE
Strong knowledge on DMVs and System procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with the azure sql databases and concepts.
Experience in database projects and DACPAC.
Experience in the ETL process and tools like SSIS or ADF.
Experience in powerbi report creation is plus.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Experience with TsqlT Unit Tests or database unittest concept.
Proficiency in SQL programming and database concepts.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL is a plus.
Familiarity with azure service like cosmos db, synaps analytical service is a plus.
