Job Summary

C&E; Limited is looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of raw materials, consumables, packing materials, and maintenance items for its manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to ensure uninterrupted material availability while optimizing procurement costs. Candidates from manufacturing industries such as footwear, plastics, chemicals, rubber, or engineering will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the procurement of raw materials, consumables, packing materials, and maintenance items.

- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials.

- Obtain quotations, compare vendor proposals, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

- Develop alternate suppliers and source cost-effective materials to ensure supply continuity.

- Follow up on purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.

- Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier consolidation, value engineering, and transport cost optimization.

- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance departments to meet procurement requirements.

- Handle new product development purchases and emergency procurement requirements.





- Maintain supplier records, purchase documentation, contracts, and procurement reports.

- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate or Diploma holder in any relevant discipline.

- 5 to 10 years of experience in Purchase or Procurement within a manufacturing company.

- Good knowledge of industrial raw materials, maintenance items, packing materials, and transportation logistics.

- Strong negotiation, vendor management, coordination, and follow-up skills.

- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

- Experience in footwear, plastics, chemicals, rubber, engineering, or other manufacturing industries is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a cost-conscious approach.
