JD-Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade ETL solutions. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in IBM DataStage, Oracle databases, Linux/Unix environments, and data warehousing concepts. The role involves developing scalable ETL processes, troubleshooting production issues, optimizing batch jobs, and collaborating with business and data teams to deliver high-quality data integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.
- Create and maintain Parallel Jobs, Sequence Jobs, Shared Containers, and reusable components.
- Develop source-to-target mappings and implement complex data transformation logic.
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines for high-volume data processing.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, flat files, APIs, and cloud storage.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Monitor daily batch processes and troubleshoot ETL job failures.
- Analyze DataStage Director logs and identify root causes of production issues.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for orchestration, automation, and file processing.
- Work with scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Airflow, or cron.
- Support deployment activities across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, and reporting teams.
- Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.

- Exposure to MicroStrategy, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- IBM DataStage certification is a plus.
