Job Description: A CA (Chartered Accountant) Associate, often a newly qualified professional in a CA firm, is responsible for auditing financial statements, preparing tax returns, and offering financial advisory services. They ensure regulatory compliance with tax laws, perform vouching and verification, and assist in drafting replies to tax notices. Core Responsibilities

- Audit & Assurance: Conduct statutory, internal, and tax audits (under
- 44AB of the Income Tax Act).
- Taxation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and file Income Tax and GST returns (including TDS) within statutory deadlines.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Advisory & Documentation: Handle research on tax amendments, prepare transfer pricing reports,



and assist with scrutiny assessments and client queries.
- Team Support: Review work done by articled assistants (juniors) and liaise with auditors/clients.

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Qualification: Certified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of direct/indirect tax laws, Ind AS, and Companies Act 2013.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software like Tally Prime, QuickBooks, and MS Excel.
- Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and good client communication.

Typical Work Environment

- Full time, mostly office-based, though it often requires client site visits.
- High client interaction, specifically during audit season and tax filing deadlines.
- An Associate is often a step above a [CA Article Assistant] and is expected to manage portfolios with limited supervision.
