Mumbai

Vistra is a global leader in corporate and fund administration services, helping clients operate, grow, and navigate regulatory complexity across jurisdictions. As part of our ongoing transformation agenda, we are enhancing and rationalizing our global Financial Crime and Screening capabilities through strategic platforms and other compliance technologies

Role Summary

The Senior Product Functional Analyst will take full functional ownership of Financial Crime technology solutions, driving their continuous improvement and strategic evolution with minimal oversight. The primary focus spans sanctions screening, adverse media, PEP screening, customer risk management, and associated compliance workflows. You will be the single point of accountability for how these platforms perform, evolve, and deliver value to the business.

This role demands deep expertise in AML, KYC, Compliance Operations, and Financial Crime processes, paired with the ability to independently translate complex, ambiguous business requirements into precise functional designs and platform configurations. You will produce documentation of the highest standard and act as the authoritative voice on functional decisions, serving as a trusted partner to Compliance, Operations, Product Owners, Delivery Teams, and senior stakeholders across the globe.

We are looking for someone who takes full ownership of their domain, operates with complete autonomy, challenges assumptions without hesitation, and drives outcomes without waiting for direction. You must thrive in ambiguity, resolve competing priorities independently, and hold yourself to a standard that others aspire to. If you need to be told what to do next, this is not the role for you.

• Own and actively govern product backlogs, functional roadmaps, and release plans; ensure nothing falls through the cracks and every decision is documented with clear rationale

• Lead cross-functional alignment with Product Managers, Compliance SMEs, and Operations teams to define future-state capabilities,

resolving conflicts and driving consensus without escalation

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Independently elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements across multiple jurisdictions, proactively identifying gaps and inconsistencies without waiting for others to surface them

• Produce investor-grade functional specifications, business process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and impact assessments that become the definitive reference for delivery teams

• Translate complex, often ambiguous compliance and screening requirements into scalable, well-documented system solutions with full traceability from requirement to implementation

• Conduct rigorous gap analysis between current and target-state operating models, presenting findings with clear recommendations and actionable next steps.

Screening & Financial Crime Capability Development

• Architect, govern, and continuously improve capabilities relating to:

o Sanctions Screening o Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) Screening

o Adverse Media Screening o Customer Risk Assessment

o Ongoing Monitoring o Case Management o Alert Management and Investigation Workflows
