1. What's the Role

As the Green Energy – Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for driving the commercial deployment of renewable energy solutions and adjacent opportunities in the new energy infrastructure space, across Indus Towers' pan-India operations. Working closely with renewable energy developers, strategic partners, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders, you will lead efforts to scale renewable energy adoption, optimize commercial structures, and accelerate the transition to cleaner energy solutions.

This role requires a strong blend of commercial acumen, renewable energy expertise, project development understanding, and stakeholder management capabilities to enable the implementation of large-scale renewable energy projects across multiple states.

In addition, the role may support strategic investments, partnerships, and transaction opportunities in the renewable energy and energy storage sectors that align with Indus Towers' long-term growth and sustainability objectives.

The role sits in the Sustainability & New Initiatives functions that has a mandate to innovate and come up with recent growth initiatives & models that are at the intersection of commercial and environmental value to the group.

2. What Will You Be Doing?

- Partner with renewable energy developers and strategic partners to facilitate the implementation of large-scale renewable energy capacity for Indus Towers.
- Evaluate and benchmark renewable energy proposals across multiple states, ensuring competitive commercial terms and optimal project economics.
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluations to identify the most suitable renewable energy solutions, balancing replacement potential, reliability, regulatory requirements, and commercial viability.
- Develop financial models, simulations, and business cases to evaluate new opportunities and maximize value from Indus Towers' infrastructure and operational footprint.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with partners, utilities, and service providers to secure favorable contractual arrangements and regulatory outcomes.

- Evaluate strategic opportunities, partnerships, and emerging business models for renewable energy, energy storage and other new energy technologies that support Indus Towers' long-term energy transition objectives.
- Support the assessment of investment, and other growth opportunities across the renewable energy and battery energy storage lifecycle & ecosystem.





- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on strategic projects, leading opportunity assessment, commercial structuring, and integration planning, where applicable.

- Work closely with internal teams, developers, regulators, DISCOMs, and local authorities to obtain required approvals and facilitate project implementation.
- Support adoption and deployment of enabling infrastructure and processes, including metering systems, software platforms, regulatory compliances, and operational interfaces to enable consumption of green energy at tower locations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and engage with stakeholders on policy matters that support renewable energy adoption and commercial viability for distributed infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Sustainability, Energy Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Circle teams to ensure successful project delivery and operational integration.

- Travel Requirement: Approximately 50%, depending on project locations and stakeholder engagement needs.

3. What You Bring

- MBA/PGDM or equivalent in Finance/ Strategy/Energy management; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6–7 years of experience in the power sector, with mandatory experience in renewable energy projects and business models.

- Candidates with exposure to project finance, infrastructure investments, EPC/O&M; understanding, strategic transactions, or renewable energy platforms will have an added advantage.

- Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, Open Access, Group Captive, Captive structures, and state-level regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating and negotiating complex commercial agreements, tariffs, and project structures.
- Ability to perform techno-commercial assessments and financial modeling for renewable energy projects.
- Good understanding of power sector regulations, approvals, and stakeholder ecosystems involving DISCOMs, regulators, and government agencies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across internal and external functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving,



and project management capabilities.
- Ability to identify innovative solutions and challenge conventional approaches to accelerate project deployment.
- Passion and pro-active attitude to get things done and make way for many Industry first initiatives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
