ROLE SUMMARY
Mechanical Engineering professionals with 10–15 years of experience in piping engineering and design for Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects. Experienced in piping layout development, equipment arrangement, piping routing, material specifications, isometric reviews, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination. Strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API standards with hands-on experience in SP3D, Navisworks, and SmartPlant Review, along with expertise in Balance of Plant systems, piping flexibility, support engineering, and technical leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead piping engineering and design activities for Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects.
- Develop and review plot plans, equipment layouts, and piping routing.
- Prepare and review piping material specifications, valve specifications, and special item requisitions.
- Coordinate piping stress analysis, flexibility studies, and support engineering requirements.
- Review isometric drawings, support drawings, and material take-offs.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, API, and client-specific engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Participate in 3D model reviews, constructability reviews, and design reviews.
- Support procurement by reviewing vendor documents and resolving technical queries.
- Mentor engineers and designers while supporting project execution through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SP3D, Navisworks, SmartPlant Review, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Robust knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, and international power plant codes and standards.
- Expertise in piping layout, equipment arrangement, piping routing, and material specifications.
- Experience in piping flexibility, stress coordination, and support engineering.
- Strong understanding of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, HRSG, Boilers, and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.
- Experience in EPC/EPCM Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects with multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
- Ability to review isometrics, support drawings, material take-offs, and vendor documents.
