ROLE SUMMARY
Mechanical Engineering professionals with 5–10 years of experience in piping stress engineering for Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects. Experienced in piping stress analysis, stress modeling, pipe support design, nozzle load evaluation, and expansion analysis. Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, API standards with hands-on experience in CAESAR II and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform piping stress analysis for Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects.
- Develop and review piping stress models for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG), Boilers, and Balance of Plant (BoP)
systems to ensure compliance with design requirements and operational reliability.
- Evaluate piping systems under sustained, thermal, occasional, and dynamic loading conditions to ensure structural integrity, operational reliability, and compliance with applicable design codes.
- Prepare stress analysis reports and engineering recommendations.
- Design, locate, and model pipe supports and perform associated calculations.
- Develop piping support philosophies and recommend special supports.
- Perform equipment nozzle load evaluations and expansion analysis.
- Support site engineering activities by resolving construction-related stress issues.
- Coordinate with Layout, Mechanical, Structural, Civil, and Process engineering teams.
- Interpret P&IDs;, piping layouts, isometric drawings, and vendor drawings.
- Deliver key engineering outputs, including the development of piping stress models, preparation of stress analysis reports, recommendation of pipe support solutions, and evaluation of equipment nozzle loads to ensure the integrity, safety, and reliability of piping systems.
