Job Description:

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, vendor coordination, material sourcing, and timely purchase of materials as per company requirements. The candidate should have good knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor management, negotiation, and inventory coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities as per production and operational requirements.
- Source and identify suitable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers for order status, delivery schedules, and material availability.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with existing and new vendors.
- Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely procurement.
- Coordinate with the Stores, Production, Quality, Accounts,



and Engineering departments for material requirements.
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and documentation.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure purchased materials meet required quality and specifications.
- Handle supplier issues related to quality, delivery, shortages, and discrepancies.
- Support vendor evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Ensure procurement activities are carried out as per company policies and procedures.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of Purchase and Procurement processes.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Experience in handling Purchase Orders (POs), quotations, and supplier follow-ups.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of ERP / SAP / purchase software will be an added advantage.
