Job Description: A Store Incharge/Executive for a foundry plant oversees the complete supply chain of raw materials (pig iron, scrap, alloys), consumables, and spare parts. They manage material inward/outward processing, execute physical stock reconciliations via ERP software, and ensure organized inventory storage to support uninterrupted plant operations. Core Responsibilities Inventory & Stock Management

- Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, refractory items, consumables, and engineering spares.
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile them with ERP systems (like SAP or Tally) to prevent discrepancies.

Material Handling & Logistics

- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders (POs) and delivery challans, and generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Ensure systematic stacking, tagging, and storage of foundry materials to avoid damage and facilitate quick retrieval.

Issuance & Coordination

- Issue materials and spares to the melting, molding, and fettling departments based on authorized requisitions.
- Coordinate with procurement, production,



and maintenance teams to anticipate material needs and avoid production halts.

Safety & Compliance

- Enforce industrial safety and housekeeping standards, including specialized storage for hazardous foundry chemicals or gases.
- Manage the secure handling of heavy materials, ensuring store personnel adhere to OSHA-compliant practices.

Key Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience: Typically 2-7 years in inventory management, preferably within a heavy engineering, steel, or foundry environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/SAP operations.
- Soft Skills: Strong documentation, vendor coordination, and team supervision abilities.
