- Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment such as transformers, switchboards, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control systems.
- Testing and Calibration: Perform routine inspections and a variety of tests, including continuity, insulation resistance, loop checks, and functional tests. Calibrate instruments to ensure they are functioning correctly and according to specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix problems in electrical, instrument, and control systems, which can involve reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Safety and Compliance:



Ensure all installations and repairs comply with electrical codes, safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs. This includes updating "as-built" drawings and issuing non-conformance reports when necessary.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers and other team members to resolve system issues and assist in the training and mentoring of other staff.

Essential skills and qualifications
- Technical Skills: A strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and experience with tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Communication: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with team members.
