Job Description: An MIS (Management Information System) Officer manages an organization’s data systems, ensuring accurate data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting for decision-making. They maintain databases, troubleshoot software/network issues, generate regular reports, and provide technical support to staff, often using tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI. Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Data Management: Designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to collect, store, and analyze organizational data.
- Reporting: Generating timely, accurate, and high-quality daily, weekly, or monthly reports for management.
- Technical Support: Troubleshooting IT-related issues, including software, hardware, and network connectivity.
- System Administration: Ensuring system security, performing backups, and implementing updates to data systems.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing data trends and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Training: Training and supporting staff on the usage of information systems and data collection tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications





- Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, Database Management Systems (DBMS), and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to process, clean, and interpret complex data to identify trends.
- Education: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work across departments.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and reporting. Common Tools Used
