Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and motivated Fashion Designer with 1 year of work experience to join our dynamic team at [Company Name], a leading ladies' garment company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, an eye for detail, and a strong understanding of current trends in women’s apparel. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on designing innovative collections for our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design Creation: Develop and create original designs for women’s clothing, including casual wear, formal wear, and seasonal collections.
- Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends, fabric innovations, and customer preferences to inspire current collections.
- Sketching & Technical Drawings: Produce detailed sketches and technical drawings of garment designs, including color palettes, fabrics, trims, and measurements.
- Fabric Selection: Collaborate with fabric suppliers to select the right materials for designs, ensuring the quality, functionality, and aesthetics of the garments.
- Product Development: Work closely with the production team to ensure the designs are executed accurately, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and testing.
- Sample Coordination: Oversee the creation of samples, ensuring the designs are produced within budget and timeline constraints, and ensuring the designs meet quality standards.
- Fit Analysis:



Assist in conducting fittings and adjusting designs to ensure proper fit and comfort for the intended customer demographic.
- Collaborate with Team: Work alongside pattern makers, textile designers, and merchandisers to bring designs to life and to ensure that garments meet the company’s brand and quality standards.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with buyers or clients, if necessary, to ensure the design vision aligns with market needs and expectations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate design records, including sketches, measurements, and fabric swatches for future reference and production purposes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a fashion design role, ideally within a ladies' garment company.
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and pattern making.
- Creative, with the ability to translate ideas into practical, marketable designs.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in working with a variety of fabrics and garment categories.
- Knowledge of fashion forecasting and trend analysis.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous design work.
