A Gynecologist is a medical specialist responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and care of women's reproductive health, including pregnancy, childbirth, menstrual disorders, infertility, and other gynecological conditions. The role involves providing both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) care, performing surgeries when required, and ensuring secure and effective treatment for female patients across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct clinical assessments, diagnose, and treat gynecological and obstetric conditions

- Manage antenatal, postnatal, and perinatal care for pregnant women

- Perform procedures such as normal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C;, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries

- Handle high-risk pregnancies and gynecological emergencies

- Counsel patients on fertility, family planning, PCOS, menstrual disorders, and menopause management

- Interpret ultrasound and lab test results related to reproductive health





- Maintain accurate medical records, prescription notes, and follow-up schedules

- Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other departments as required

- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, hospital policies, and medical ethics

- Participate in medical audits, CME programs, and case discussions

Qualification:

- MBBS + MS/MD/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

- MCI/NMC or State Medical Council Registration mandatory
