You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeThe IT M&A; team at Medtronic plays a critical role in enabling seamless application integration and transition across mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.As an IT M&A; Sr Application Business Analyst, you will drive application integration, business analysis, and cross-functional coordination to ensure operational continuity and alignment with business needs. You will support execution from planning through Day 1 and post-go-live stabilization, working across multiple IT domains in a agile, global environment.You will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to deliver integration outcomes aligned with enterprise architecture and strategic goals.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Lead and support end-to-end application integration and/or separation across entitiesDefine application strategies (retain, retire, replace, consolidate) aligned with business and IT architectureAssess application compatibility, dependencies, and integration pointsEnsure alignment with business functions such as Commercial, GOSC, R&D;, Quality, Finance, and HRElicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirementsPerform current-state vs target-state analysis to identify gaps and opportunitiesTranslate business needs into actionable IT requirements and solutionsSupport prioritization based on business impact, risk, and feasibilityCoordinate across IT domains including Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, Integration, R&D;, and QualityCollaborate with IT SPOCs, application owners, SMEs, and vendorsEnsure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverablesFacilitate discussions to resolve dependencies and drive decisionsContribute to integration and separation planning, including timelines and milestonesSupport execution of activities such as application onboarding, configuration, integration validation, and data migrationTrack progress and ensure adherence to integration roadmapProactively manage risks, issues,
and dependenciesSupport Day 1 readiness planning and validation across application workstreamsDevelop and execute cutover plans and runbooksEnsure readiness for system access, data validation, and integration connectivityParticipate in cutover rehearsals and execution to ensure smooth transitionAct as a liaison between business and IT stakeholdersProvide updates on progress, risks, and key decisionsPrepare executive presentations, dashboards, and reportsTranslate technical changes into clear business impactSupport post-Day 1 stabilization activities and issue resolutionTrack defects, incidents, and enhancementsEnsure transition to steady-state operations and support teamsMaintain project plans, trackers, and dashboards using tools like JIRA, MS Project, and SmartsheetTrack milestones, risks, and dependencies (RAID logs)Support governance forums, steering committees, and program reviewsDevelop high-quality executive reporting and insightsLeverage automation, analytics, and AI/ML tools to improve efficiencyBuild dashboards and reporting mechanisms for decision-makingIdentify opportunities to enhance integration processes and toolsEnsure continuity of critical business operations during integrationSupport outcomes such as system consolidation, cost optimization, and efficiencyAlign IT deliverables with business objectives and strategic goalsRequired Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field7–12 years of experience in IT M&A;, business analysis, or application delivery rolesStrong experience in M&A; integration and/or separation programsProven experience in project management and cross-functional coordinationHands-on experience in cutover planning, Day 1 readiness, and hypercareStrong understanding of application lifecycle, system integration, and enterprise IT landscapesExperience with tools like JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet,
