Job Summary
The SAP IDM L3 Engineer is responsible for advanced administration, troubleshooting, and operational management of the SAP Identity Management platform. The role focuses on maintaining identity lifecycle processes, supporting access governance integration with SAP GRC, resolving complex provisioning issues, and ensuring reliable identity synchronization across SAP and integrated enterprise systems. The engineer will also support audit activities, security compliance, and operational improvements within the SAP identity management environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced operational and engineering support for the SAP Identity Management platform.
• Manage and troubleshoot identity lifecycle processes including user provisioning, deprovisioning, role assignments, and attribute updates across SAP systems.
• Support integration between SAP IDM and SAP GRC Access Control, including monitoring Access Risk Analysis (ARA) execution and Segregation of Duties (SoD) validation during provisioning workflows.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues affecting identity provisioning, role synchronization, and system integrations.
• Execute and monitor identity reconciliation processes to ensure data consistency across integrated systems.
• Analyze identity data discrepancies across SAP and connected systems and perform approved data corrections.




• Monitor SAP IDM integration health and ensure stable connectivity between identity sources and target systems.
• Support identity lifecycle governance processes to ensure compliance with enterprise access control standards.
• Perform root cause analysis for high-priority incidents affecting identity provisioning or identity synchronization.
• Support external and internal audit activities by generating audit evidence, provisioning records, and access logs when required.
• Assist with remediation activities related to audit findings or compliance gaps within identity lifecycle processes.
• Support synchronization of security roles and access configurations across SAP environments.
• Monitor operational adherence to identity governance policies and operational procedures.
• Maintain operational documentation including workflows, integration configurations, and operational procedures.
• Support transition and integration activities related to enhancements or modernization of identity management tools.
• Collaborate with SAP security teams and IAM teams to ensure secure identity lifecycle management across SAP landscapes.

Skill Requirements
Robust experience working with SAP Identity Management (SAP IDM).
• Good understanding of SAP identity lifecycle management and access provisioning processes.
• Experience integrating SAP IDM with SAP GRC Access Control.
• Familiarity with Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis and access risk management.
• Experience troubleshooting identity provisioning and reconciliation processes.
• Understanding of SAP role management and identity synchronization mechanisms.
• Experience supporting enterprise IAM processes within SAP environments.
• Experience working with incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
