About Complyance:
Complyance builds technology that helps businesses manage e-invoicing and regulatory-compliance workflows. Our Delivery team works with enterprise customers, finance teams, IT teams, ERP partners and software developers to implement API, ERP, file-based and manual-upload e-invoicing solutions.
We are expanding our implementation capability for customers across the UAE and are looking for an early-career engineer who is interested in APIs, enterprise systems, customer implementations and financial technology.
About the Role
Complyance is looking for an experienced and delivery-focused Project Manager – E-Invoicing Implementations to manage enterprise customer implementations across the UAE.
The Project Manager will independently manage assigned customer projects involving API integrations, ERP integrations, file-based processes and manual-upload solutions. The role owns project execution from initiation and planning through requirements, implementation, UAT, production go-live, hypercare, closure and transition to Customer Success and Support.
The Project Manager will coordinate customer business and IT teams, ERP implementation partners and Complyance's Functional, Technical Implementation, Solution Architecture, Implementation Quality, Product, Engineering, Support and Customer Success teams.
The position is based in Chennai and follows UAE business hours. The role may require travel to the UAE or other approved customer locations for discovery, workshops, governance meetings, UAT, go-live or escalation support.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Initiation and Governance:
Lead formal handover from Sales, reviewing the SOW, scope, assumptions and acceptance criteria
Prepare and maintain the Project Charter, Project Management Plan and RACI
Establish objectives, milestones, governance forums and escalation paths
Conduct kickoff meetings and set documentation, reporting and change-control standards
Project Planning and Schedule Management:
Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and delivery forecasts
Coordinate schedules across functional, technical, UAT, Product and customer workstreams
Track progress against baseline, flag slippage early and maintain the critical path
Manage multiple projects by complexity and capacity; escalate resource conflicts
Scope and Change Control:
Maintain the approved scope baseline and change-request register
Identify out-of-scope requests and route them through impact assessment and approval
Prevent informal requests from becoming unapproved commitments
Maintain traceability to acceptance milestones; escalate scope disputes
RAID and Dependency Management:
Own the Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies log, with an owner, date and status for each item
Identify dependencies early and track overdue actions and ageing risks
Escalate critical risks/issues through governance; maintain the decision log
Customer and Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary governance contact for assigned implementations
Run status meetings, workstream reviews and steering committee updates
Communicate status, risks and decisions; facilitate timely customer decisions
Manage expectations without unapproved commitments; escalate unresolved concerns
Cross-Functional Delivery Coordination:
Coordinate Functional, Technical, Solution Architecture,
UAT, Product, Engineering, Support and Customer Success teams
Ensure deliverables and deadlines are clear; resolve cross-functional blockers
Keep requirements, design, testing and deployment aligned; run readiness reviews
Project Documentation and Controls:
Maintain the project document register (Charter, Plan, RACI, RAID/Decision/Change logs, Status Reports, Steering materials, Acceptance records, Go-Live checklist, Closure Report)
Ensure specialist-owned documents are completed by their correct owners
Maintain a complete, auditable project record
Note : Coordinates and governs specialist deliverables but does not independently author or approve requirements, architecture, regulatory interpretations or UAT acceptance.
Requirements and Solution Governance:
Coordinate requirement workshops led by the Functional Consultant; ensure requirements are documented and baselined
Track the Technical Impact Assessment, SDD and Solution Architect approval
Ensure implementation follows approved design; route changes through formal change control
UAT Coordination:
Integrate the UAT plan into the project schedule and track prerequisites/dependencies
Coordinate with the Implementation Quality Lead; monitor execution, defects and acceptance risks
Escalate defects affecting readiness; ensure formal customer UAT acceptance
Go-Live and Hypercare:
Own go-live governance, cutover planning and the formal go/no-go meeting
Coordinate production deployment, validation and hypercare meetings/escalations
Track critical incidents during hypercare and hand off to Support/Product/Engineering
Project Closure and Handover:
Confirm deliverables and acceptance criteria are complete; obtain final customer acceptance
Close, transfer or defer outstanding items; complete the Project Closure Report
Coordinate handover to Customer Success and Support, including known issues, open commitments and support arrangements
Commercial and Milestone Support:
Track contracted milestones and acceptance evidence; support milestone-invoicing readiness
Document customer-caused delays and maintain evidence for change/extension discussions
Escalate scope, margin or contractual risks; do not negotiate pricing/terms without authorisation
Required Skills and Experience:
5–10 years of project management experience in enterprise software, ERP, SaaS or integration implementations.
Proven experience managing projects from initiation through production go-live, hypercare and closure.
Experience managing API-based integration projects.
Experience coordinating ERP or financial-system implementations.
Experience with file-based or manual-upload implementation models.
Working knowledge of finance, accounting and invoice processes.
Experience coordinating customer IT teams, business teams, implementation partners and software vendors.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle, SDLC and delivery governance.
Demonstrated experience with project planning, RAID management, change control and executive reporting.
Strong stakeholder, negotiation and conflict-management capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid documentation, reporting and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects according to approved capacity and complexity.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and project-management tools.
Willingness to work according to UAE business hours.
Willingness and ability to undertake approved business travel, subject to visa, immigration and company requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline.
PMP certification.
PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master or equivalent certification.
Experience with SAP, Oracle, Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite or similar ERP platforms.
Experience in e-invoicing, tax technology, regulatory technology or digital-transformation projects
Experience managing UAE or GCC enterprise customers
Experience coordinating multiple entities, ERP systems or implementation partners.
Working Hours and Travel:
The role is based in Chennai and aligned with UAE standard business hours.
The Project Manager must be available for planned customer meetings, UAT sessions, production, deployments and go-live activities outside normal working hours when reasonably required and approved.
The role may require travel to Dubai, other UAE locations or approved customer sites.
Travel may be required for discovery workshops, project recovery, steering meetings, UAT, go-live or other material delivery events.
Travel frequency will depend on project needs and should be communicated with reasonable notice where practicable.
All travel must follow company approval, expense, security, visa and duty-of-care policies
Travel documents and customer information must be handled securely
Employment and travel requirements should be confirmed by qualified HR/legal professionals

Role Boundaries:
The Project Manager is not independently authorised to:
Interpret tax or regulatory requirements
Select or approve solution architecture
Commit Product or Engineering to unapproved changes
Approve UAT on behalf of the customer
Change contracted scope, pricing or terms
Approve specialist-owned documents outside their area of authority
Share customer credentials or sensitive information through unapproved channels
