Job Summary
Owns vulnerability remediation across SG's Cisco routing, switching and indirect-network estate. Operates within the 7-day SLA for Tier-2 assets, leveraging partial automation where available.
Key Responsibilities
• Triage Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS and related platform vulnerabilities; remediate within 7-day SLA.
• Apply firmware upgrades on routers and switches; coordinate maintenance windows.
• Apply configuration hardening per CIS / Cisco-recommended baselines.
• Coordinate with application teams where indirect exposure intersects production traffic.
• Contribute to automation initiatives — DNA Center, Ansible, NSO playbooks.
Skill Requirements
• Cisco IOS-XE, NX-OS administration; routing and switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, STP).
• Familiarity with Cisco PSIRT advisory triage.
• Configuration management with Ansible or Cisco DNA Center.
• Understanding of firmware upgrade procedures and rollback.
Other Requirements
• Cisco CCNP or higher.
• Network automation: Python, Ansible, NSO.
• Familiarity with Catalyst Centre / DNA Centre.
