About the role
Job Summary
The Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical advice and support to sales teams and conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific pricing. This includes preparing technical briefings, estimating requirements, and supporting implementation. This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and conduct technical sales briefings.
• Research customer specifications and estimate technical requirements.
• Evaluate sales proposals for technical accuracy.
• Support implementation and initial user training.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams.
Skills & Qualifications
Typically a University degree (or equivalent work experience) and up to 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent skills) are minimally required to carry out the role. Basic understanding of product applications and configurations. Robust communication and analytical skills. Willingness to learn and grow in a technical sales setting. Ability to work under supervision and in teams.
