Job Summary
This role oversees the technical execution of Analog Mixed Signal (AMS) mask design projects, ensuring high standards in design methodology and deliverable quality. The individual provides hands-on guidance to a project team, optimizing productivity and compliance, and acts as a technical resource for evaluating solutions and alternatives throughout the design cycle. They contribute to risk management and effective project tracking, supporting organizational goals in semiconductor design excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Guide AMS mask design activities using Cadence Virtuoso and Mentor Graphics tools, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and project-specific design standards.
Provide technical direction and support to team members in layout design, DRC/LVS verification, and physical implementation of analog and mixed-signal circuits.
Evaluate design feasibility and participate in technical discussions by analyzing design alternatives,



architecture support, and technical risks using AMS design knowledge and EDA tool capabilities.
Ensure process compliance and documentation by monitoring progress with project management software and submitting periodic status reports to mitigate risk and address escalations.
Advocate for continuous improvement in design methodologies and workflow efficiency through solid understanding of AMS mask design flows and tool automation.

Skill Requirements
Solid proficiency in AMS mask design including layout, DRC/LVS verification, and physical design techniques.
In-depth knowledge of EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics, and Calibre.
Robust understanding of semiconductor process technologies (CMOS, Bipolar, etc.).
Ability to analyze design trade-offs and assess technical risks during feasibility studies.
Proficient in process compliance, project documentation, and status reporting.
Effective team guidance and technical mentoring skills.

Other Requirements
Optional but valuable: Cadence Certified Layout Designer or Mentor Graphics Certification.
