Junior Accountant – Job Description

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary:

Assist in maintaining accounting records, processing financial transactions, reconciling client and bank accounts, preparing GST/TDS records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a stock broking setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Record accounting entries and maintain ledgers.
Perform bank and client ledger reconciliations.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
Assist with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
Prepare MIS reports and financial data.
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Coordinate with internal teams for financial queries.

Key Skills:
Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Basic understanding of stock broking operations (preferred).
Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and bank reconciliation.
Robust analytical and numerical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Valuable communication and teamwork.
Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
