Application Engineer - CFD
We are looking for enthusiastic freshers with a robust interest in building a career in the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) domain. Candidates should be eager to learn, work on real-world engineering problems, and grow with the organization.
Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities:
Set up and execute CFD simulations for thermal and fluid flow analysis using Ansys Fluent/CFX.
Perform geometry cleanup and meshing for complex components and assemblies.
Analyze simulation results and prepare technical reports with explicit insights and recommendations.
Validate simulation results against experimental data or analytical calculations.
Stay updated with latest CFD methodologies and best practices.
Skills (Must have):
CFD Tools: ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM (basic proficiency).
Meshing Tools: ANSYS Meshing, ICEM CFD, Pointwise, HyperMesh. CAD Tools: SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar for geometry preparation.
Numerical Methods:
Finite Volume Method (FVM), discretization techniques, convergence criteria.
Physics Knowledge: Turbulence modeling (RANS, LES), Heat Transfer (conduction, convection, radiation), Multiphase flow basics.
Boundary Conditions & Solver Settings: Understanding of inlet/outlet conditions, wall functions, residual monitoring.
Post-Processing: Visualization and data extraction using CFD-Post, ParaView, Tecplot.
Programming & Automation: Python, MATLAB for scripting and data analysis; familiarity with C++ is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Solid verbal and written communication abilities to interact with customers effectively.
Skills (Optional):
Programming or scripting skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar) are a plus.
Educational Qualification (Must have):
M.Tech / M.E.
