Job Summary

A Staff Nurse is a registered qualified who delivers high-quality, direct bedside clinical care. They assess patient needs, execute physician orders, manage treatments, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Patient Care
Assess health conditions and review medical histories.
Monitor vital signs like blood pressure and heart rate.
Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) infusions.
Perform wound care, dress wounds, and initiate treatments.
Provide emergency care and perform basic life-saving steps.
Assist physicians during clinical examinations and procedures.

Operations & Documentation
Maintain meticulous records of all clinical interventions.
Update patient charts with accuracy and high specificity.
Manage admission, transfer, and discharge procedures safely.
Prepare medical equipment and ensure a sterile setting.
Hand over reports clearly at shift changes.





Advocacy & Support
Educate patients regarding disease prevention and health maintenance.
Explain treatment plans to family members clearly.
Provide emotional support to patients during recovery.
Supervise nursing aides and junior nursing students.

Skills & Qualifications Requirements
Nursing Degree or Diploma (B.Sc Nursing, GNM, or equivalent).
Valid registration with the nursing board or council.
Clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
