Job Title: Wiring Harness Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Wiring Harness Design Engineer to design and develop electrical wiring harnesses for automotive, industrial, or off-highway applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in 2D/3D harness routing, connector selection, wiring diagrams, and BOM preparation. Experience with CAD tools such as Creo Cabling, CATIA, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop 2D & 3D wiring harnesses.
Create wiring schematics, harness routing, and formboard drawings.
Select electrical components such as connectors, terminals, wires, fuses, relays, and clips.
Prepare BOM, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
Perform packaging and routing studies to ensure manufacturability.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams.
Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECN).
Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and production.




Ensure compliance with customer specifications and automotive standards.
Troubleshoot wiring-related issues during development and production.

Required Skills
Experience in Wiring Harness Design.
Solid knowledge of harness routing and electrical schematics.
Hands-on experience in Creo Cabling, CATIA Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical.
Knowledge of connectors, terminals, wire sizing, cable protection, and harness manufacturing.
Experience in BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
Understanding of GD&T; and manufacturing processes.
Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

Experience
1–3 years of experience in Wiring Harness Design.
