Key Responsibilities
Design industrial machines, special-purpose machines (SPMs), automation equipment, and mechanical assemblies.
Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
Prepare assembly drawings, detail drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Select standard mechanical components such as bearings, motors, gearboxes, couplings, linear guides, ball screws, belts, chains, and pneumatic/hydraulic components.
Perform engineering calculations for shafts, gears, frames, structures, and power transmission systems.
Apply GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
Coordinate with production, fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to ensure manufacturability.
Support prototype development, machine assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement engineering changes.
Optimize machine designs to improve performance, reliability, safety, and cost.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable engineering standards.




Maintain design documentation, revision history, and engineering records.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
1–3 years of experience in machine design or machine manufacturing (depending on the role).
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar CAD software.
Robust understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, sheet metal, and assembly.
