Job Description – Academic Counsellor

Location: Ernakulam, Kochi, Kerala
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month + Incentives

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and result-oriented Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students and help them choose the right educational programs. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong convincing abilities, and a customer-focused approach to drive student admissions.

Key Responsibilities
Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, programs, and career opportunities.
Handle inbound and outbound calls, follow up on leads, and convert inquiries into admissions.
Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses.
Provide accurate information about course details, fees, admission procedures, and career prospects.
Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students to maximize conversions.
Achieve monthly admission and enrollment targets.
Maintain student records and update CRM systems regularly.
Coordinate with the admissions and marketing teams to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
Participate in educational events, seminars, and promotional activities when required.

Mandatory Requirements




Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
1–3 years of experience in Academic Counselling, Student Counselling, Telecalling, Sales, or Customer Relationship Management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malayalam.
Strong convincing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport with students and parents.
Target-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving results.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.

Preferred Skills
Experience in the Education, EdTech, or Training Industry.
Robust presentation and counseling abilities.
Positive attitude and customer-centric approach.
