Location: Delhi, India (On-site)Employment Type: Contract / ConsultantAbout the RoleWe are establishing an advanced plastic recycling facility in India and are seeking an experienced consultant to lead the project from concept through commercial operations.The consultant will play a key role in developing the recycling business, including EPR strategy, plant design, machinery selection, packaging development, product strategy, compliance, and operational planning.This is a strategic consulting role for professionals with proven experience in plastic recycling plants, Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs), polymer processing, and recycled plastic manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesPlant DevelopmentDesign and optimize the overall recycling process.Develop process flow diagrams and material flow.Recommend plant capacity and expansion strategy.Design an efficient Material Recovery Facility (MRF).Machinery SelectionEvaluate and recommend machinery suppliers.Compare European, Taiwanese, Chinese, and Indian equipment.Assist with technical specifications and vendor negotiations.Review quotations and support procurement decisions.Supervise installation, commissioning, and performance testing.EPR & Regulatory ComplianceDevelop the company's Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) strategy.Assist with CPCB/SPCB registrations and compliance.Recommend traceability and documentation systems.Advise on environmental approvals and regulatory requirements.Product DevelopmentAdvise on the highest-value products that can be manufactured from recycled HDPE and other plastic waste, including:Recycled pelletsBlow moulding compoundsRotomoulding compoundsInjection moulding gradesExtrusion gradesPackaging applicationsValue-added finished productsRecommend products based on profitability, market demand, capital investment,



and scalability.Packaging & BrandingRecommend packaging solutions for recycled resin products.Design packaging specifications suitable for domestic and export markets.Develop labeling and branding recommendations.Ensure packaging meets customer and compliance requirements.Business & OperationsPrepare CAPEX and OPEX estimates.Improve production efficiency and recovery rates.Recommend quality control and laboratory requirements.Develop SOPs and operational best practices.Train production teams during commissioning.Required Qualifications10+ years of experience in plastic recycling or polymer processing.Demonstrated experience setting up or operating recycling plants and/or Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs).Robust knowledge of HDPE, PP, LDPE, and mixed rigid plastic recycling.Experience with washing, shredding, sorting, extrusion, filtration, and pelletizing systems.Familiarity with global recycling machinery manufacturers.Strong vendor management and project execution experience.Preferred ExperienceExperience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:Plastic recycling plant setupMaterial Recovery Facilities (MRFs)Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)Polymer compoundingBlow mouldingInjection mouldingPackaging developmentPlastic product developmentCircular economy initiativesDeliverablesThe consultant will be expected to deliver:Complete plant development roadmapMachinery recommendations and vendor evaluationsPlant layout and process optimizationEPR implementation strategyProduct portfolio recommendationsPackaging recommendationsCAPEX and OPEX analysisCommissioning supportOperational improvement planHow to ApplyPlease include:Updated CVSummary of recycling projects completedPlant capacities worked onTypes of polymers processedRole in each projectConsulting fee expectationsAvailability
