Role Overview

As a Sr. Consultant – Risk & Compliance, you will play a critical role in leading end-

to-end client engagements across regulatory advisory, risk management, and

compliance transformation initiatives. You will work closely with senior leadership and

clients to design frameworks, drive implementation, and ensure alignment with evolving

regulatory landscapes. This role requires a strong blend of domain expertise, client management, and delivery ownership, with the ability to independently manage projects and contribute to

business growth.

Responsibilities

1. Project Delivery

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Risk & Compliance projects for Banks, NBFCs, and fintechs

• Interpret and implement regulatory requirements across RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, NPCI

frameworks

• Drive initiatives across:

1. RBI Master Directions & Digital Lending Guidelines
2. DPDPA, Data Privacy & Governance
3. ISO 27001, Information Security & Business Continuity

• Conduct risk assessments (regulatory, operational, IT/security, third-party/vendor) and gap analysis

• Design and implement policies, SOPs, compliance frameworks, and governance

structures

• Lead client workshops, stakeholder discussions, and regulatory readiness programs

• Ensure high-quality deliverables including reports, dashboards, and compliance review

2. Team Management & Training

• Mentor and guide junior consultants and analysts on project execution and domain

knowledge

• Drive internal capability building through structured training sessions (Risk, Compliance,

DPDPA, etc.)

• Ensure quality control and review of team deliverables

• Build strong team ownership and accountability across engagements

3. Thought Leadership

• Contribute to creation of whitepapers, industry insights, and regulatory analysis

• Track and interpret evolving regulatory changes and translate them into actionable

insights





• Support development of internal frameworks, accelerators, and reusable assets

• Represent the firm in client discussions, industry forums, and knowledge session

4. Pre-Sales & Business Support

• Support pre-sales efforts including proposal creation, solutioning, and client

presentations

• Work with leadership on identifying opportunities within existing and new accounts

• Participate in client pitches and capability discussions

• Contribute to building go-to-market strategies for Risk & Compliance offerings

Skills and Competencies Required

• Strong understanding of BFSI regulatory landscape (RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, NPCI)

• Expertise in risk management, compliance frameworks, and regulatory advisory

• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills

• Ability to independently drive projects and manage multiple engagements

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking skills

• Strong communication and presentation capabilities

Qualifications and Experience Required

- Education: B.Tech + MBA preferred
- 5–10 years of experience in Risk & Compliance.
- Understanding of digital banking, payments, lending, wealth, and fintech ecosystems is preferred
- Preferably Skilled certifications (or pursuing) like CISA, ISO 27001
- Prior experience in a consulting firm, Bank, NBFC, or fintech in Risk & Compliance functions.
