Job Description

Role: RPGLE Support Engineer
Experience: 5+ Years

Location: Bangalore / Pune / Chennai

Key Responsibilities

- Provide production support and maintenance for IBM i (AS/400) applications developed in RPGLE.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, incidents, and service requests.
- Perform code fixes, enhancements, and deployments in RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2 environments.
- Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, and system performance.
- Coordinate with business users and development teams for issue resolution.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.

Required Skills

- Robust experience in RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.
- Hands-on experience with IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment.
- Knowledge of batch job monitoring, job scheduling, and production support processes.
- Experience in incident management and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of SQL queries and database concepts.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Change Management and Service Now.
- Knowledge of banking, payments, insurance, or retail domains.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
