Position Summary

n

Sikich is seeking a Controller with 8+ years of accounting or audit experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in US GAAP general accounting, financial statement preparation or review/audit, and team management experience. The Controller will own oversee the month-end close and accounting processes of our clients. This role is highly client-facing and requires close collaboration with U.S.-based engagement teams and executive client stakeholders.

What will you do in this role?

n

- n
- Own the monthly and annual close processes for assigned clientsn
- Own accuracy and completeness of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsn
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and client-specific policies. In some instances, help clients implement accrual and GAAP practicesn
- Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations and actionable insightsn
- Support technical accounting topics, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accruals, consolidations, complex transactions (Opening Balance Sheet review), etc.n
- Serve as the primary accounting lead for a portfolio of clients across industries (e.g., SaaS, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, professional services,



healthcare, etc.)n
- Establish and strengthen internal controls and accounting processesn
- Support audit readiness and coordinate with external auditorsn
- Own the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting for assigned clientsn
- Advise clients on accounting policies, controls and process improvementsn
- Build robust relationships with U.S.-based clients, acting as a trusted advisor on accounting and financial mattersn
- Participate in regular client meetings (often overlapping U.S. time zones) to review financial results, address issues, and provide insightsn
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants that perform the day-to-day accountingn
- Own quality and timeliness of all client deliverables and ensure adherence to quality and turnaround standardsn
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation within client engagementsn
- Collaborate with U.S.-based managers/directors to align on deliverables, timelines, and prioritiesn

What do you need to succeed in this role?

- n
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CA, CPA (US), MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification preferred, with demonstrated experience in U.S.



GAAP accounting.n
- CPA (US) is a major plus.n
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.n
- Managed team(s) having at least 10-20 team members.n
- Prior experience in a Delivery Management role for a US based firm.n
- Experience with U.S. accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.)n
- Knowledge of US accounting systems.n
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office.n
- Organizational skills to manage a big team and strategic client engagements.n
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic.n
- Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.n
- Leadership and team management skills.n
- Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges.n
