Job Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that all solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and manufacturing processes comply with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on driving product quality, process excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

n

1. Quality Management

n

- n
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.n
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, statutory regulations, and international standards for solar PV modules.n
- Establish quality objectives, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.n
- Monitor quality performance and drive continual improvement across manufacturing operations.n

n

2. Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

n

Develop and implement inspection plans for incoming raw materials, including:

n

- Solar Cellsn
- Glassn
- EVA/POEn
- Back sheetsn
- Junction Boxesn
- Framesn
- Busbars and Ribbonsn

n

Responsibilities include:

n

- n
- Approving incoming materials based on defined quality standards.n
- Coordinating with suppliers to resolve quality issues.n
- Conducting supplier audits and performance evaluations.n
- Monitoring supplier quality performance and implementing corrective actions.n

3. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

n

Monitor quality throughout the manufacturing process, including:

- Cell Stringingn

- Laminationn
- Trimmingn
- Framingn
- Junction Box Fixingn
- Electroluminescence (EL) Testingn
- Flash Testingn
- Packagingn

Responsibilities include:

- Ensuring adherence to manufacturing processes.n
- Identifying process deviations and reducing defects.n
- Implementing process improvements to improve product quality.n

4. Final Quality Control (FQC)

n

- n
- Verify that finished modules meet electrical, mechanical, cosmetic, and performance requirements.n
- Review electrical test data and inspection reports.n
- Approve final product release before shipment.n
- Ensure traceability of finished products.n

n

5. Testing & Compliance

n

Ensure compliance with international standards including:

n

- n
- IEC 61215n
- IEC 61730n
- ISO 9001n
- ISO 14001n
- ISO 45001n

n

Additional responsibilities:

- Coordinate reliability and environmental testing.n
- Support product certification and surveillance audits.n
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements.n

6. Customer Quality

- Investigate customer complaints and warranty claims.n
- Perform root cause analysis using:n

- 5 Why Analysisn
- Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagramn
- Pareto Analysisn
- Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).n
- Improve customer satisfaction through proactive quality improvements.n

7. Process Improvement

- Reduce defects, scrap, and rework.n

Educational Qualifications

n

- n
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.n
- Master's Degree (preferred).n

Experience

n

- n
- 8–15 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.n
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within Solar PV Module Manufacturing or Electronics Manufacturing.n
- Experience with automated production lines is preferred.n
