Job Summary:
The Manual Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electronic components in a production environment. This role requires the ability to work with hand tools, follow detailed instructions, and ensure high-quality standards in the assembly process. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and strong manual dexterity, contributing to efficient and accurate product assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and/or electronic components according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches to complete manual assembly tasks.
- Perform quality inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or defects in the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Document completed work and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to [insert weight].
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent/ITI
- Experience:
- Previous experience in a manual assembly, manufacturing, or production environment preferred.
- Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic math skills for measuring and fitting components.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle small components.
