Location- Sabine Hospitals and Research Centre, Tanur

The Cost Counselor is responsible for providing financial counseling to patients and their families by explaining treatment costs, insurance coverage, payment options, and financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide accurate cost estimates for medical procedures, surgeries, diagnostics, and hospitalization.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding treatment costs, payment options, and financial implications.
- Coordinate with consultants, admission, billing, insurance, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely cost estimation.
- Prepare and submit required reports related to cost counseling activities.
- Follow hospital policies, billing procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in BBA, B.Com, or equivalent.
- MBA (Hospital Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or related field) is preferred.




- Experience in the hospital or healthcare industry is mandatory.

Required Skills

- Experience in financial counseling within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Positive understanding of hospital billing processes and health insurance procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
- Customer-focused approach with empathy and professionalism.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 1–3 years of experience as a Cost Counselor, Financial Counselor, Patient Counselor, or in a similar role within a hospital.

Salary should be based on interview performance & experience . Should be fixed at the time of interview
