We are looking for a proactive IT Support Engineer to join our IT team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in desktop support, software installation, Windows troubleshooting, and basic networking. You will provide technical support to employees, maintain IT equipment, and ensure day-to-day IT operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems.
- Install and update business software and applications.
- Configure and support Microsoft Office, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Provide desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting.
- Assemble and install desktop computers and replace hardware components when required.
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues.
- Set up new employees with laptops, desktops, email accounts, and required software.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to end users.
- Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and basic networking issues.
- Assist in maintaining network devices such as switches, routers, and access points.
- Support installation and maintenance of applications such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other business software.
- Perform antivirus updates, Windows updates, and routine system maintenance.
- Maintain IT inventory and asset records.
- Assist with data backup and recovery activities.
- Coordinate with senior IT team members and vendors when required.
- Maintain IT documentation and basic troubleshooting guides.





Requirements

- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, or Hardware Support.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience installing software and drivers.
- Basic understanding of LAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DHCP, and DNS.
- Familiarity with computer hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Microsoft 365.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Remote Desktop or AnyDesk.
- Exposure to AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar engineering software.
- Understanding of basic server concepts is an advantage.
