Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensivist to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, emergency interventions, ventilator management, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:Clinical Responsibilities:

- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients admitted to ICU, HDU, and Emergency Department.
- Monitor and manage patients requiring invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
- Perform advanced critical care procedures including:
- Endotracheal Intubation
- Central Venous Catheter Insertion
- Arterial Line Placement
- Intercostal Drain Insertion
- Airway Management
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Manage sepsis, septic shock, respiratory failure, multi-organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), cardiac emergencies, and trauma cases.
- Conduct daily ICU rounds and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Ensure timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
- Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.

Emergency & Critical Care Management:

- Respond to Code Blue and medical emergencies.
- Lead resuscitation efforts and emergency stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Manage ventilators, vasopressors, dialysis coordination, and life-support systems.
- Monitor hemodynamic parameters and adjust treatment protocols accordingly.





Patient & Family Communication:

- Counsel patients and relatives regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plans, and clinical progress.
- Obtain informed consent for procedures and interventions.
- Participate in end-of-life care discussions where required.

Quality & Compliance:

- Adhere to NABH, JCI, hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in clinical audits, mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with medical ethics and legal requirements.

Academic & Administrative Responsibilities:

- Train and supervise junior doctors, residents, interns, and nursing staff.
- Participate in CMEs, departmental meetings, and clinical research activities.
- Assist in developing ICU protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Reporting To:

Medical Superintendent / Head of Critical Care / Director Medical Services

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
