Job Title: Jr.Engineer – VMware / OpenStack / Cloud (24x7 Support)

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Jr.Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in virtualization technologies - VMware and OpenStack. The role involves supporting and maintaining virtual infrastructure in a 24x7 environment while adhering to ITIL-based processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and manage virtual infrastructure based on VMware and OpenStack platforms
- Perform VM provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Handle incidents, service requests, and problem tickets as per ITIL processes
- Perform routine health checks and system maintenance activities
- Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations
- Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance





Technical Skills Required

- Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
- Basic knowledge of OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, etc.)
- Understanding of virtualization concepts and cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with storage, networking, and OS (Linux/Windows)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and backup solutions

Process & Tools

- Working knowledge of ITIL framework (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) is a plus

Soft Skills

- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in rotational shifts (24x7 support model)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current technologies

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field
- VMware certification (VCP) or OpenStack certification is an added advantage

Preferred

- Exposure to scripting (Power CLI/Unix Scripting)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and automation

Note: This role requires working in a 24x7 support environment, including night shifts and weekends on a rotational basis
