Cost Engineer

Experience: 3 to 6 years

Work Mode: Work from the office

US Shift: 5 PM to 2 AM or 4 PM to 1 AM

Location: IBN Technologies Ltd , Pune

Key Requirements & Responsibilities

- Degree in Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control related training.
- Min 2 years of relevant and similar experience in project estimating and cost controlling.
- Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling, and reporting.
- Responsible for controlling and monitoring project costs including verifying and checking invoices and claims (change orders) from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
- Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects, which include variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer and sub billing processes, etc.
- Perform & manage project activity scheduling & monitoring respective to cost and cash flow.
- Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
- Attend project meetings and discussions with the management team and external clients.
- Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
- Track manpower and equipment usage,



coordinate with the project supervisor and shop manager on the procurement of new equipment.
- Assist PM in preparing and negotiating change orders for client and subcontractors.
- Compile, check and submit monthly requisition paperwork to the client.

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills.
- Mature, proactive, resourceful, and hands-on with good initiative.
